Location Report

Location Report
Location: Gore Road, Dartford DA2

This is my chosen location for the prequel to Paranormal Activity in the previous films it is always set in a large house this is the reason for me choosing this location. As well as the house having many rooms to chosen from to capture the scene I am creating, it also has a ery look to it which fits in perfectly with my idea.
The Location for the pequel to paranormal activity is in a accessible location for the cast and crew, as well as their being easy access via the roads and there is lots of room for parking and close to other locations which may be used in other parts of the film. The inside of the will be shown in the film by CCTV cameras set up by the detective which he will be watching during the course of the night.

The scene itself will start with the detective making a video diary as she has entered the house and setting up for the night ahead. She would of also set up the CCTV cameras in the other rooms to watch on the computer during the night. Unknowing to her these very same cameras are going to capture her own death(keeping stylistic continuity in the camera techniques used in previous films).
These are examples of how I want to film Paranormal Activty - The Beginning, keeping in style with other sequels and prequels of the house being watched on camera, throughout the nights of the unseen hauntings.

At the end of the scene a fire will occur in one of the rooms which the detective has gone to investigate, she is then trapped in the room filmed on the CCTV camera and her hand held camera which captures her last moments. This then sets up the sequels to the film as it explains who is haunting them and why.

The contacts for using this house is the owners, which will be in contact with to agree on filming dates and other arrangements.

Health and Safety for the resolution scene while filming
- Fire: we would need firefighters on set to control the fire and put it out once the filming has finished as well as making sure both the cast and crew are taking the necessary precautions
Lighting and Noise
To keep the theme of the hauntings happening at night there will be limited lighting throughout most of the shots but spot lights will be used to help follow the action as well as props such as lights set up and the torch the detective will carry with him. Where we are filming the only noise that may be heard is from passing traffic but as we are using the back of the house this should not cause too much problem.
I think that this location fits the genre and themes of scenes as well as matching previous sequels which include the haunted house as the many feature. In the location we will have to set dress parts maybe as this house is seen to be abandoned on the film, this would mean clearing areas and covering futniture and added cob webs to make it look althentic. We would be unable to film the fire scene in this location as it would cause too much damage so we would need to recreate that room in a film set to be able to create the fire scene.
